Mary Star Of The Sea
Zwan: Billy Burke aka Billy Corgan (vocals, guitar); Matt Sweeney (guitar, background vocals); David Pajo (guitar); Paz Lechantin (bass, background vocals); Jimmy Chamberlin (drums). Additional personnel: Ana Lenchantin (cello). Recorded at Electrical Audio and Chicago Recording Studios, Chicago, Illinois. Billy Corgan has emerged from his three-year hiatus, following The Smashing Pumpkins' 2000 break-up, with Zwan and their debut, MARY STAR OF THE SEA. Rounding out the group are former Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlain, Slint/Tortoise guitarist Dave Pajo, Skunk string-slinger Matt Sweeney and bassist from A Perfect Circle, Paz Lenchantin. Corgan does not disappoint as he resurrects the crashing guitars and yowling vocals that ensnared so many young, impressionable post-rock fans. Taking on the moniker of Billy Burke, a Florida evangelist dedicated to "touching the world with God's power," the Chicago native runs a quasi-religious thread through these 14 songs. "Lyric", the thunderous opening cut, includes lyrics about faith. Concluding the journey is the 14-minute plus "Jesus, I/Mary Star of the Sea" which incorporates the hymn "Jesus, I Have Taken Up My Cross." Throughout the album are some truly brilliant moments including the tasty acoustic guitar/harmonica driven "Come With Me," the soaring first single "Honestly" and the equally breathtaking "El Sol." With his legacy as Smashing Pumpkins' major domo secure, Billy Corgan is well on his way to securing his spot in the new millennium with Zwan. SKU: 1079977

Beyond Words
Personnel includes: Bobby McFerrin (vocals, keyboards); Taylor McFerrin (vocals); Keith Underwood (bass flute, wooden flute); Gil Goldstein (accordion, Fender Rhodes piano, keyboards); Chick Corea (piano); Richard Bona (guitar, piano, percussion); Omar Hakim (drums); Cyro Baptista (percussion). Recorded at Lake Of The Isles, Minneapolis, Minnesota; The Hit Factory, New York, New York. Singer Bobby McFerrin is one of the most unique figures in contemporary music. His forays into jazz, classical, pop, and ethnic music make him one of the most diverse performers of his generation. On BEYOND WORDS the singer teams up with a superior ensemble of musicians to present 16 tracks of hopeful, uplifting music. As you might expect, BEYOND WORDS is a cornucopia of ethereal sounds and genre combinations. The only "standard" tuneon the album is Chick Corea's "Windows." McFerrin and the composer himself team up on this piece, and the interaction between them is full of rich chemistry and spontaneity. Other tracks such as "Kalimba Suite" evoke an African feel, undoubtedly fueled by Cameroonian bass player Richard Bona. There are no lyrics on the record (at least none that are discernable); McFerrin's approach to singing here is similar to some of his earlier efforts, layering numerous vocal tracks on top of one another, creating brilliant washes and punchy syllabic grooves. Toward The Margins
Full performer name: Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic Ensemble. Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic Ensemble: Evan Parker (soprano saxophone, gong); Phillip Wachsmann (violin, viola, electronics, sound processing); Barry Guy (acoustic bass); Paul Lytton (percussion, programming); Walter Prati, Marco Vecchi (programming). Recorded at Gateway Studios, Surrey, England in May 1996. Includes liner notes by Steve Lake. Any other artist of Evan Parker's stature might find contentment in being at the head of his league, but this incomparably gifted saxophonist/improviser has even greater ambitions. With his Electro-Acoustic Ensemble, Parker defiantly pushes the envelope of improvisation. 1997's TOWARD THE MARGINS, a pioneering work in the revitalized idiom of electroacoustic improv, builds on the model of such European free-improv establishments as the Spontaneous Music Ensemble with lessons learned from the more electroacoustically inclined AMM. Percussionist Paul Lytton and Philipp Wachsmann (violin, viola) double on live electronics and/or sound processing. Walter Prati and Marco Vecchi adopt similarly indeterminate electronic interfaces for their primary input. Parker (on soprano sax), Wachsmann, Lytton, and Barry Guy (double bass) provide the musical matter that sparks the Ensemble's reciprocal, recursive electroacoustic process. Parker's oblique, "aerobatic" sax and Wachsmann's expressive strings are spontaneously refracted into multiphonic infinity ("Turbulent Mirror," "Epanados," "The Regenerative Landscape (For AMM)," "Philipp's Pavilion," "The Eleven Books") or vaporized and reconstituted as traces of numinous sound ("Trahuetten," "Born Cross-Eyed," "Contra-Dance"). An achievement grounded in free-improv tradition while at play in the timbral fields of aliens and angels, MARGINS extends the improvisational arena as far as the imagination dares reach. Songs From A Room
Leonard Cohen's second album maintained the haunting strengths of its predecessor. His hypnotic, murmured voiceretains its compelling power and the content on Songs From A Room proves equally resonant. Where another pensive singer-songwriter might warp his craft with bathos, Cohen injects his work with mature insight, using metaphor and poetic insight to enhance his craft. Superb acoustic guitarwork weaves a path throughout the bewitching melodies, enhancing the singer's spell, although Cohen's self-deprecating humour is equally prevalent, particularly on the singalong 'Tonight Will Be Fine'. Songs From A Room captures every facet of Cohen's inestimable talent. SKU: 1002016

My Soul [PA]
Personnel includes: Coolio (rap, background vocals); 40 Thevz (rap); Troy "Talk Box" Mason, The Dramatics, Ras Kass, Lashanda Dendy, Wil Wheaton, Julius Carey, Blue,Diane Gordon, Montell Jordan, Iesha Lot, Terri Tobin, Katrina Harper, Jeffrey Robinson, Alfie Silas, Charlia Boyer, Al Wilson (background vocals); Romeo, J&P Freeman, Ronnie Jones, Stan "The Guitar Man" Jones, Wa Wa Watson, Mr. Guche, Vic C., Keith Williams, Darrel Crooks, Clifford Felix, Athoas Brown, Dwayne Augustine, Mark Cargil, Curtis Boshey, Ronnie King, Vendon Smith. Producers include: Wino, Mr. Dominique De Romeo, Jammin James Carter, I-Roc, and OJI Pierce. By the late '90s, Coolio began looking like one of the only rap artists that mattered. With Public Enemy out of the picture, the deaths of Tupac and B.I.G., KRS-One doing Sprite commercials and every body else too busy dodging bullets to make music, Coolio found himself the default king of Hip-Hop at the close of the millennium. For his part, it seems Coolio would prefer the role of good-humored Court Jester. Coolio's stream-of-consciousness lyrics often follow disparate tangents to their logical (or illogical) conclusion, with rhyming the only prerequisite. Even so, he manages to get a couple of messages across, such as his comments on the duplicitous nature of the drug smuggler on "Nature of the Business" and his ode to true friends; "Homeboy." The serious nature of these topics is undercut by left-field touches like '70s R&B vocal group The Dramatics crooning "The Devil Is Dope." It's on the all-out party tunes "One Mo", "Throwdown 2000" and "Can I Get Down 1x" that Coolio's soul shines brightest. Rap, after all, began as party music, and King Coolio seems bent on returning it to those glory days. SKU: 1087317

Porgy And Bess
Personnel: Oscar Peterson (clavichord); Joe Pass (acoustic guitar). Recorded at RCA Studios, Los Angeles, California on January 26, 1976. Includes original release liner notes by Benny Green. Digitally remastered by Phil De Lancie (1994, Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, California). Few works in the Amreican canon have consistently inspired players and listeners like PORGY AND BESS. And while aspects of the libretto--with its condescending, paternalistic overtones--are asorry reminder of a less enlightened time in American history, the depth of affection and craft in Gershwin's Twentieth Century opera is timeless, genderless and colorless. The orchestral collaborations of Miles Davis and Gil Evans breathed new life into this work, and their PORGY AND BESS remains among the most beloved works in jazz history. But with the CD release of this 1976 Norman Granz production, Oscar Peterson and Joe Pass offer us a definitive new instrumental rendition of PORGY AND BESS--as intimate and swinging a work as anything they ever recorded. Peterson and Pass employ clavichord and arch top acoustic guitar to striking effect on PORGY AND BESS. The clavichord is a tiny baroque keyboard which allows keyboardists to manipulate the pitch after notes are struck by employing hand vibrato. It was Bach's favorite instrument, and on a whimsical version of "I Got Plenty O' Nuttin" and a funky down home reading of "Strawberry Woman," Peterson transcends traditional keyboard techniques, embracing its tiny, twangy timbre to produce guitar-like strums, trills and bends, as Pass alternates between moving bass lines, rhythmic strumming and arpeggiated chording. On "Oh, Bess, Oh Where's My Bess" Peterson achieves a startling vocalized effect with his two-handed voicings, before engaging Pass in a contrapunctal dance; and they swing out like dueling guitarists on "There's A Boat Dat's Leavin' Soon For New York." Home (+DVD)
This limited edition of HOME includes a 20 page hard-cover book. Dixie Chicks: Emily Robison (vocals, guitar, papoose guitar, banjo, dobro, accordion); Martie Seidel (vocals, mandolin, fiddle, viola); Natalie Maines (vocals). Additional personnel includes: Emmylou Harris (vocals); Bryan Sutton (guitar); Lloyd Maines (slide guitar); Adam Steffey, Chris Thile (mandolin); Stefanie Astedi, Leigh Mahoney (violin); Lara Hicks (viola); Sara Nelson (cello); Glenn Fukunaga (bass); John Mock, Paul Pearcy (percussion). HOME won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Country Album. "Long Time Gone" won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. "Lil' Jack Slade" won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance. HOME was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Album Of The Year, Best Recording Package and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical). "Long Time Gone" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Country Song. For their third album HOME, the Dixie Chicks went back to their bluegrass roots in crafting a record fired in the kiln of recent motherhood and a highly publicized legal battle with their label. Recorded under the gentle hand of producer Lloyd Maines (front Chick Natalie's pop), these dozen cuts are devoid of any Nashville gloss and are instead steeped in the organic harmonies and twang of recent releases by Nickel Creek and Dolly Parton. With sisters Marty Maguire and Emily Robison providinginstrumental support on fiddle and banjo respectively, the Chicks are equally at home ripping through the runaway breakdown "White Trash Wedding" as they are tapping into heartfelt compositions by Radney Foster ("Godspeed [Sweet Dreams]") and Patty Griffin ("Top Of The World"). With pop sensibilities that are never too far from the surface, it's no surprise that this talented trio would do such a fine job covering Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" and giving it the kind of shimmering treatment sure to put a smile on Stevie Nicks's face. Despite the duress the Dixie Chicks were toiling under, HOME proves that from turmoil comes stellar creative effort. SKU: 1087039

PNYC (Live At The Roseland Theatre)
Portishead: Beth Gibbons (vocals); Adrian Utley (guitar, Moog synthesizer); Geoff Barrow (drums, DJ). Additional personnel includes: Israel Chorberg, Richard Clark (violin); Alfred Brown(viola); Stephanie Susie Katayama (cello); Ben Waghorn (alto flute, alto & tenor saxophones); Will Gregory (oboe, baritone saxophone); Dave Ford, Andy Hague (trumpet, flugelhorn); John Cornick (trombone); John Baggott (keyboards); Jim Barr, Jeffry Carney, David Finck, John Miller (bass); Clive Deamer (drums, percussion); Andy Smith (DJ). Engineers: Dave Hewitt, Sean McClintock, Phil Gitomer. Recorded live at Roseland Ballroom, New York, New York on July 24, 1997; The Quart Festival, Kristiansand, Denmark on July 3, 1998; The Warfield Theatre, San Francisco, California on April 1, 1998. PNYC captures Bristol, England's Portishead live, a situation which presents a particular challenge to a band so closely associated with studio experimentation. Portishead's sound, however, is built around the otherworldly vocals of Beth Gibbons, who immediately dispels any notion that such a performance needs to have anything canned about it. The spontaneity is helped along by a stunning palette of guitars, which combine with the the band's imaginative turntable work to create a thrilling, bombastic and unpredictable live experience. PNYC opens up with the swell of a stringsection, and quickly dissolves into the menacing, orchestrated strains of "Humming," over which Gibbons gives a stirring vocal performance, every bit as spontaneous as the rhythmic scratching which weaves in and out of the song's organ-based backdrop. "Over" features a particularly seductive voice-guitar intro, which mutates into an epic, gargantuan bass-synth groove. Guitar textures are, in fact, a prominent feature throughout PNYC, notably on the rocked-up, tremolo-soaked six-string that dominates the live version of the band's signature tune, "Sour Times." Peace Orchestra
Peace Orchestra includes: Chilli Bukasa (vocals); Peter Kruder (various instruments). Peace Orchestra is the solo project of Peter Kruder, better known as one half of Kruder & Dorfmeister, perhaps two of the finest producers in the trip-hop/downtempo/whatever arena. The world has been waiting patiently waiting for K & D's debut, content with the duo's amazing remix and DJ-mix discs. Until that day arrives, most of us should be just tickled by Kruder's individual contribution. PEACE ORCHESTRA continues the K & D tradition, pirating samples, sounds, and ideas from the best unknown jazz and R&B records, adding instrumental touches, and re-emerging with a painstakingly well rendered synthesis of jazz funk. This is Euro-synth groove musicthat remains fresh and original. On the opening "The Man, Part One," Kruder tells a sordid-sounding tale with lazy horns and squiggly electronics. The more upbeat "Meister Petz" uses fudged analog smears and a sleazy rhythmic pulse to imagine a soundtrack for "Blade Runner" remade as a Bogie film. Like Fila Brazillia, Funki Porcini, and others of the same dank-nightclub ilk, Kruder understands the funky inner recesses of the groove. PEACE ORCHESTRA demonstrates how to motivate its hypnotic inertia. SKU: 5064795

The Vine Street Horns: Andrew Woolfolk (saxophone); Harry Kim, Daniel Fornero (trumpet); Arturo Velasco (trombone). Producers include: Phil Collins, Hugh Padgham, Babyface, Lamont Dozier, Arif Mardin. In the early '80s, Collins took a break from the helm of Genesis to inaugurate a solo career that abandoned his group's art-rock agenda for a mainstream pop approach. In the ensuing years, the king of Nice Guy Pop established himself as one of the world's premier top 40 balladeers, as evidenced by the wall-to-wall hits that make up the balance of this appropriately titled collection. HITS walks the listener through the smooth, well-produced Collins hits that have worked their way into the collective consciousness of radio listeners (even casual ones) over the years. There are majestic power ballads ("I Wish It Would Rain") to light-hearted, infectious pop-funk ("Sussudio") and moody atmospheric pieces ("In the Air Tonight") HITS represents the full range of material this prolific performer has turned out over the course of his wildly successful career. Believe [ECD] [PA]
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Disturbed: David Draiman (vocals); Dan Donegan (guitar, keyboards); Fuzz (bass); Mike Wengren (drums). Additional personnel: Alison Chesley (cello). Taking the essence of classic metal and making it contemporary is a feat that Disturbed has accomplished with staggering results. While the band's debut only toyed with melodicism (much of THE SICKNESS was derivative of the growing stable of rap metal bands), BELIEVE is Disturbed's musical arrival. Razor-sharp syncopated riffing is melded with rock radio-friendly melodic vocals, making a jaw-dropping first impression with album-opener "Prayer." The track has the requisite elements to make it an instant metal classic. Disturbed's influences peek through their music, but not in a negative sense; it's clear that Pantera, Metallica and Queensryche wereamong the artists this band cut their teeth on. "Intoxication" revisits the vocal style that broke the band with "Down With The Sickness," but vocalist David Draiman puts much more effort into a vocal approach that doesn't rely on gimmicks, especially with the big chorus in "Remember" and the splayed vocal harmonies in "Believe." Making the leap into rock balladry, the album closes on an emotional note with "Darkness." With BELIEVE, Disturbed show themselves to be much more than a one-trick pony; instead they carry the torch for metal in the new millennium. SKU: 1075346

Between Here And Gone
Personnel includes: Mary-Chapin Carpenter (vocals, acoustic guitar); John Jennings, Eric Silver (acoustic guitar); Dean Parks (electric guitar); Dan Dugmore (steel guitar); Rob Ickes (dobro); Stuart Duncan (fiddle); David Angell (violin); Kristin Wilkinson (viola); Anthony LaMarchina (cello); Matt Rollings (keyboards); Glenn Worf (bass); Chad Cromwell (drums); Eric Darken (percussion); Garison Starr, Mac MacAnally (background vocals). Producers: Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Matt Rollings. Recorded at The Sound Kithchen and Sound Stage, Nashville, Tennessee between August and December 2003. If Mary Chapin Carpenter had come up in an earlier musical era, she would have been part of the 1970s singer/songwriter movement a la James Taylor, Carly Simon, etc. However, the '80s and '90s found traditional songwriting values more welcome under the contemporary-country umbrella, so that's where Carpenter has blossomed. Granted, there's probably as much twang on BETWEEN HERE AND GONE as on most other early-2000s country albums, which is to say merely some. Full of introspective ballads that mix pithy lyrical observations with an organic, acoustic/electric Americana feel, the album presents a thoughtful woman with as many worries in her life as joys, alternately mourning death (the title track) and celebrating life ("Beautiful Racket"). Whether her sound is more at home in Nashville or New York is entirely up to the listener. SKU: 6552918

Lexicon Of Love, The [Remastered]
ABC includes: Martin Fry (vocals); Mark White (guitar, keyboards); Stephen Singleton (alto & tenor saxophones); David Palmer (drums, percussion). Additional personnel includes: Gaynor Sadler (harp); Kim Wear (trumpet); Andy Gray (trombone); Anne Dudley (keyboards); Brad Lang, Mark Lickley (bass); Louis Jardin (percussion); J.J. Jeczalik (programming); Tessa Webb (background vocals). Producer: Trevor Horn. Compilation producers: Paul Reidy, Martin Fry. Recorded in 1982. Includes liner notes by Martin Fry and Giles Smith. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Easily one of the '80s' finest albums, THE LEXICON OF LOVE not only established singer Martin Fry and guitarist Mark White as two of the decade's smartest and most skillful cross-breeders of Motownish dancegrooves, Beatlesque pop and Roxy Music-style art-rock urgency, it cemented ex-Buggle Trevor Horn's status as the era's defining producer. Throughout THE LEXICON OF LOVE, Horn's over-the-top blend of strings, horns, lush choirs and bizarre production tricks battles Fry's literate, witty lyrics and commanding voice and White's encyclopedic knowledge of pop hooks for the listener's attention. While the singles "Poison Arrow" and "The Look of Love"--aided by stylish, funny videos--garnered the most interest, there's not a single less-than-brilliant track, from the compelling opener "Show Me" to the near-desperate closer "4 Ever 2 Gether" and the lovely orchestral coda "The Look of Love (Part Four)." THE LEXICON OF LOVE is a classic. SKU: 1001050

We Invented The Remix [ECD] [PA]
Full title: P. Diddy & Bad Boy Records Present: We Invented The Remix. This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Compilation producer: Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. P. Diddy, or Puff Daddy, or Sean "Puffy" Combs, depending on how the mood strikes him, didn't get to be one of hip-hop's biggest entrepeneurs by being the shy, retiring type. So one will conceivably take the album title's claim, and the liner notes' spin-doctored bravado, with a sizable grain of salt. Nevertheless, Puffy's skills as a hit-making producer and recording artist can't be called into question. If WE INVENTED THE REMIX was simply an unadorned compilation of pasthits on Combs's Bad Boy label it would be impressive enough, but Puffy ups the ante on his pop legacy by updating the tracks with his vaunted remix skills and the addition of guest artists, turning gold into, well, more gold. New cuts by R&B siren Ashanti ("Unfoolish") and the Didster himself (most notably the romantically inclined plea for tenderness "I Need a Girl") show that the man remains a player on the move. Come Fly With Me (Live/+DVD)
This release includes a bonus DVD featuring backstage and interview footage, and concert performances from New York, London, Hollywood and South Africa. As with many emerging artists, Michael Buble is still developing a distinctive style of his own on COME FLY WITH ME. Regardless of that minor detail, what Buble does know is who he is as a performer, and what he wants to do with his considerable vocal talent. Reviving tunes made famous by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Tony Bennett, Elvis Presley, and Bobby Darin, Buble sings each melody with a fetching blend of deep respect and fresh-facedenthusiasm. And he has got the chops to back it all up--Buble is blessed with a sleek, warm tone in the tradition of the aforementioned royalty, as well as an undeniable ability to swing. Coming out backed by a full big band with punchy arrangements is one of his secret weapons--the guy surrounds himself with many like-minded musicians of an extremely high caliber. Highlights include a lightly swaying "My Funny Valentine" and a rousing yet nuanced take on "Nice 'N Easy." SKU: 6553879

Self Assembly
Noonday Underground includes: Daisy Martey (vocals); Simon Dine. This '60s Britpop-infused release is the first album from former Adventures In Stereo creator Simon Dine and company. With Stax soul, Beatles, and Left Banke leanings left over from his former band, Dine gathered a live band to compile a catchy, groovy album. Bleating horns, lounge melodies, and garage rock tendencies make Noonday Underground reminiscent of French Ye Ye compilations, while spooky theremin electronics, sampled easy-listening chorus-filled tunes, and a female vocal draw comparisons to Broadcast. When the second song, "London" swingsin, however, singer Daisy Martney's Janis Joplin-meets-Petula Clark vocals brush Noonday Underground's contemporaries aside. The set also features mellower numbers such as "Marvellous," which continues the retro-futuristic theme, sampling more choral Weather Report-like harmonies. Funky basslines and some hopping organ chords inject a little soul into the mix, making the album a varied trip through retro-futuristic wonderment. SKU: 1065149

Very Emergency
The Promise Ring: Davey Von Bohlen (vocals, guitar); Jason Gnewikow (guitar); Scott Schoenbeck (bass); Dan Didier (drums). Recorded at Inner Ear Studios, Washington, DC. VERY EMERGENCY is a true breakthrough album for Milwaukee rockers the Promise Ring. Over the course of five years and three albums prior to this release, the foursome had built a reputation in the Sunny Day Real Estate circles as one of the most hallowed emocore bands around. With VERY EMERGENCY, theband mutates its sound to something closer to Sloan than Quicksand. The amazing thing is that the band seems even better in this realm than it was in its former one. The tunes here are deceptively basic, following the tradition of 'tude-driven melodic rock passed down from Gene Vincent to the early Beatles to the Modern Lovers to the Replacements. The themes, which are far from the dark, oblique abstractions of the usual emo-fare, are simple expressions of love and reflection. None of this means that the band has descended into blind cheerfulness or left ironic detachment behind--but even the songs involving depression, such as the brilliant "Living Around," possess a disarmingly charming simplicity, one that bathes VERY EMERGENCY in a wonderfully poppy light. Diamonds (The Best Of Shirley Bassey)
An excellent 20-track anthology, 1994'sDIAMONDS: THE BEST OF SHIRLEY BASSEY is probably the best of the many single-disc compilations devoted to the Welsh cabaret singer. DIAMONDS covers Bassey's years with the EMI label from the mid-'50s through the early '80s. Besides the expected James Bond themes such as "Diamonds Are Forever," and "Goldfinger," DIAMONDS includes nuggets like torchy versions of George Harrison's "Something," "I (Who Have Nothing)" and "What Kind of Fool Am I." Brassy, booming versions of great tunes like "Big Spender" and "As Long As He Needs Me," and larger than life renditions of "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" and "Reach for the Stars," are also heavily featured. Fun, flashy, and immensely entertaining, DIAMONDS is a cabaret-style gem. SKU: 1005094

Unearthed
All tracks have been digitally remastered. UNEARTHED features readings of 11 of Peter Blegvad's stories. Musical soundscapes, played by the author and longtime collaborator John Greaves (who has played bass and keyboards on most of Blegvad's albums), accompany the recitations. As with Blegvad's songs and his long-running comic strip, LEVIATHAN, the record shows a wonderful fascination with small details. The sonic settings vary surprising and engaging ways, andthey shift the often-surreal juxtapositions of the narrative in wholly appropriate directions. Blegvad's voice has a midrange grace to it. Never too agitated, his even tones allow the words to assume their largest proportions. "Hardware" is a wonderful example of Blegvad's powers as a writer. Events slowly roll out of a thinking man's mind as he's going about a purchase in a hardware store. SKU: 1049012
