Meltdown
Fourth studio album from Northern Irish indie rock veterans follows 2001's 'Free All Angels' and showcases a shockingly heavy newsound. Inspired by protests against the war in Iraq, Tim Wheeler has penned a set of thunderous, metallic rock tunes which nevertheless retain the classic poppy, melodic Ash sound. Includes the singles 'Orpheus' and 'Clones' which was available only as a download. SKU: 6558220

Thank You For The Music [Remastered]
THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC contains 3 discs of previously released material and a fourth disc of demos and live recordings. ABBA: Bjorn Ulvaeus (vocals, guitar); Benny Andersson (vocals, keyboards); Anni-Frid Lingstad, Agnetha Falksog (vocals). Additional personnel includes: Lasse Wellander, Finn Sjober, Janne Schaffer, Michael Arkelew (guitar); Raphael Ravenscroft (saxophone); Rutger Gunnarsson, Mike Watson (bass); Ola Bunkert, Roger Palm, Rolf Alex, Per Lindwall (drums); Malando Gassamma, Ake Sundquist (percussion). Producer: Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson. Compilation producer: Chris Griffin. Recorded between 1973 & 1982. Includes a 66-page booklet with photographs, a discography and liner notes by Stig Anderson, Fred Bronson, John Tobler and Denis McNamara. Releasedat the height of ABBA's mid-'90s renaissance, when the Swedish foursome became fashionable again after years of critical and commercial neglect (thanks in part to films such as Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Muriel's Wedding), THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC is a four-CD treasure trove of hits and obscurities. The fact that the fourth and final disc consists entirely of rare and unreleased gems should entice those who still own the band's original releases. The first three discs--52 tracks in all--consolidate all of the group's chart-topping singles, adding the best of their album tracks and a handful of live recordings and alternate mixes. Disc four is an intriguing collection of demos, outtakes, and multi-lingual versions of popular singles. Exquisitely packaged and well annotated, THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC shows why ABBA is considered by many the pinnacle of '70s commercial pop. SKU: 1039893

Love And Theft
Personnel: Bob Dylan (vocals, guitar, piano); Larry Campbell (guitar, banjo, mandolin, violin); Charlie Sexton (guitar); Tony Garnier (bass); Augie Meyers (accordion, Hammond B3 & Vox organs); David Kemper(drums); Clay Meyers (bongos). LOVE AND THEFT won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. Bob Dylan's career has always been about defying expectations. Accordingly he followed 1997's much-heralded TIME OUT OF MIND with a marked about-face. Where its predecessor was a bleak emotional landscape full of languid atmospheres, existential sentiments, and graveyard vocal delivery, LOVE AND THEFT finds Dylan much more energized and hopeful. Instead of swamp-like textures, we get sharp, cracking bar-band blues, and lissome ballads with a '20s/'30s feel. The old codger has never sounded more spry; after observing that "summer days and summer nights are gone," he follows up with "I know a place where there's still something going on." Elsewhere he's variously hunting bear, standing on a table to make a toast, burning down a house, and starting a new empire. The musical context for all this uproar is informed more heavily by Dylan's earliest Americana roots than anything other than his albums of traditional folk songs. Delta and Chicago blues are templates for many songs, while a few others even more anachronistically suggest a future for Dylan as ghost writer for Leon Redbone. The lyrics themselves are littered with quotes from/references to old blues tunes, but Dylan's classic non-linear structure and wild imagination allow him to transcend his influences even as he assimilates them. Woman's Gotta Have It
Cornershop: T. Singh (vocals, bass); Parsley, Sasha Andres (vocals); Wallis Healy, A. Singh, Ben Ayres (guitar); Saffs (sitar, keyboards); Nick Simms (drums); Pete Hall (percussion). Recorded at Stayfree, Leicester, England and West Orange, Preston, England. As their name suggests, Cornershop (slang for Indian-owned grocery stores in Britain), features a musical hybrid of the band's East meets West influences. Their sophomore stab, WOMAN'S GOTTA HAVE IT, is one of the most original and innovative albums of 1995. The band started in 1992 as a hardcore group called General Havoc, when brothers Tjinder and Avtar Singh and their best friend Ben Ayers were still in college. Their music ranges from Velvet Underground-styled garage/guitar-based rock sung in English ("Hong Kong Book Of Kung Fu," and "Call All Destroyer"), to traditional Indian music that's chanted in Hindi and backed by sitar, dohiki and tablas ("6 A.M. Jullander Shere," and "My Dancing Days Are Done"). Often, the orchestration is updated with synthesizer, dance beats and samples giving the music it's own unique identity. Their best songs, however, combine the two disparate influences: "Camp Orange" samples tribalchanting over trip-hop beats, while the poppier "Wog" combines Ovation-like guitar strumming, tribal chanting and lyrics sung in both English and Hindi. On "Wog," Tjinder sums up the underlying premise of this original sounding album: "This western Oriental's going full circle." SKU: 1011634

LCD Soundsystem [Digipak]
LCD Soundsystem: James Murphy (various instruments); Tim Goldsworthy, Patrick Mahoney, Tyler Pope, Eric Broucek, Nancy Whang. Recording information: Longview Farms, North Brookfield, Massachusetts; Plantain Recording House, New York, New York. As half of the NYC underground-legend production team DFA, James Murphy was responsible for countless crafty retoolings of late-1970s/early-'80s sounds of the electroclash/post-punk-revival variety. Wearing his "artist" hat under the LCD Soundsystem moniker, Murphy concocted his own minimal-synth club hits, full of both hipster irony ("Losing MyEdge") and catchy electro-hooks ("Yeah"). Finally unleashed for the length of a full album, Murphy's muse still offers up plenty of John-Foxx-will-rise-again retro synth sounds, but he expands his palette as well. The irresistibly catchy "Daft Punk Is Playing at My House" is a funky, riff-driven party-starter that compares favorably to vintage Beck, and "On Repeat" indicates a fascination with the lyrical cadences of the Fall's Mark E. Smith. Moving further back in time to the art-rock era, "Never as Tired as When I'm Waking Up" is a dreamy tune that could have slipped unnoticed off Pink Floyd's MEDDLE, and "Great Release" is an unabashed, slow-building Eno homage. To keep the club kids happy, a bonus disc featuring LCD's previous singles (including the aforementioned faves) is tacked on to an already-attractive package. SKU: 6582278

Songs We Know
Personnel: Fred Hersch (piano); Bill Frisell (guitar). Recorded at Mobius Music, San Francisco, California. Includes liner notes by Bob Blumenthal. Pianist Hersch and six-stringer Frisell have created intimate music here. Picture a scene: the two players stroll down the avenue in lively conversation, sometimes talking at the same time, each with his own flurry of commentary on a topic of truly mutual understanding. Now press play on your CD player and listen to the soundtrack. "Someday My Prince" opens with an exciting air of suspenseas Frisell holds a syncopated drone line over Hersch's gentle chords. It glows with melodicism. Full of fun, the duo captures the composer's whimsical spirit well in their treatment of "Blue Monk." Here and elsewhere, Frisell's 2-string ideas are colorful and pungent. Add their take on "Yesterdays" to the ever-growing list of genius interpretations of this Kern tune. While the Sun Ra and Art Tatum versions still shine just as brightly, this one romps like a juicy storybook. A collection of standards full of spontaneity, agility and friendship. SKU: 1009920

True To Myself
Personnel: Eric Benet (vocals, keyboards); George Nash, Jr. (guitar, keyboards, drums, clave); Roger Troutman (guitar, keyboards, bass); Skeeta (guitar, bass); Kenya B., Gumby (guitar); Barbara "Bobbi" Schneider (violin); Paul Gminder (cello); Christian (piano, Fender Rhodes, keyboards, drums); Demonte (melodica, organ, keyboards, drums); Bryan Tate (Fender Rhodes piano); Benjamin Love (synthesizer); Warren Crawford, Rio, Carlton Thompson (bass); Sauce, Mark Lomax (drums); Lisa Jordan-Weathers (background vocals); The Down Low Horns. Producers include: Eric Benet, Roger Troutman. Engineers include: Eric Benet, Roger Troutman. Recorded at The Enterprise, Burbank, California; The Chapel, St. Louis, Missouri; Roger's Personal Palace, Dayton, Ohio; The Mixx and The Crib, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When music history is written and the retro-soul movement of the '90s and its primary proponents (Erykah Badu, Maxwell, D'Angelo, Tony Rich) are mentioned, Eric Benet will be invariably and unfairly overlooked. A quick listen to his 1996 debut TRUE TO MYSELF makes this oversight all the more puzzling. Benet combines the sensuality and smoothness of '70s soul with the new-jack upfrontness of '90s R&B minus the lewdness. Benet mixes sexual and sanctifiedvibes with the aid of a creamy croon that permeates everything from the upbeat funk of "Spiritual Thang" to the bouncing grooves of "More Than Just A Girlfriend." On slow burners such as "Just Friends," "I'll Be There" and the title track, Benet is the kind of balladeer whose voice ripples with the kind of frisson normally associated with Teddy Riley. On Sly Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay," the Milwaukee native flawlessly pulls off the author's funky falsetto (with the aid of producer/multi-instrumentalist Roger Troutman) with a little Al Green thrown in for good measure. Most impressive is the cautionary, anti-drug anthem "Chains," which serves as the perfect companion piece to Living Colour's "Open Letter To A Landlord." SKU: 1009070

Truth About Men, The
Personnel includes: Tracy Byrd (vocals); Billy Joe Walker, Jr. (acoustic & electric guitars); John Goux, B. James Lowry (acoustic guitar); Troy Lancaster, Brent Mason, Reggie Young, Michael Thompson (electric guitar); Dan Dugmore (steel guitar, dobro); Paul Franklin, Jaydee Maness (steel guitar); Aubrey Haynie (mandolin, fiddle); Stuart Duncan, Gabe Witcher (fiddle); John Jarvis (piano, Hammond B-3 organ, synthesizer); Jim Cox, John Hobbs (piano); Leland Sklar, Glenn Worf (bass); Paul Leim (drums, percussion); John Robinson (drums); Eric Darken (percussion). Producers: Billy Joe Walker, Jr., Tracy Byrd. Principally recorded at Emerald Sound Studios, Nashville, Tennessee. Much like its half-dozen predecessors, TracyByrd's seventh album steers about as close to traditional country as it's possible to get and still hear your songs on the radio. Byrd's choice of songs here ranges from the sentimental ("Tiny Town," When You Go") to the Jimmy Buffet-style faux-reggae of "How'd I Wind Up in Jamaica," with nods to the old-fashioned drinking song in both "Drinkin' Bone" and a bonus live version of "Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo." With its plain-spoken, honest-to-goodness quality country, THE TRUTH ABOUT MEN may deliver few surprises, but that's precisely what's reassuring and appealing about it. It's undeniably country music--there are no nods here to any contemporary trends past 1972--and Byrd's good-natured delivery and broad appeal ensure it'll receive a wide audience. SKU: 1085692

Bete Noire
Shortly after the release of their 1982 masterpiece AVALON, Roxy Music went their separate ways.Singer Bryan Ferry, who had already released a handful of excellent solo recordings during his time with the band, put out a flurry of first-rate pop albums. First came 1985's BOYS AND GIRLS, followed by 1987's more rhythmically complex BETE NOIRE. More resolutely dance driven than AVALON or BOYS AND GIRLS, BETE NOIRE features several international club hits, including "Limbo," the gentle "Zamba," and the excellent title track; all nine tracks are veneered with smooth Latin percussion. Ferry's solo recordings, with BETE NOIRE and BOYS AND GIRLS in particular, occupy an interesting if not altogether unique space in '80s popular music. More romantic than Talking Heads, and more world-weary than the Pet Shop Boys, Ferry has remained commercially successful without compromising his unique vision of lush, sophisticated pop music. Bring It On
Gomez: Ian Ball, Paul Blackburn, Tom Gray, Ben Ottewell, Olly Peacock. Additional personnel: Steve Fellows (guitar); Ian Bracken (cello); Susie Wright (saxophone); Mat Quinton (tuba). In simple terms, Gomez' debut is the result of a long studio woodshedding session by five Scottish lads sick to death of Britpop. So rather than nick riffs from the whole history of English rock, as many of their UK contemporaries had been doing throughout the '90s, Gomez looked to America for inspiration. Their reverence for the roots-influenced sounds of California rock circa 1971 is only exceeded by their admiration of Beck's ability to update folk-rock records by cutting and pasting modern textures onto them. And all of BRING IT ON swings between these musical ideas. Thus, while singer Ben Ottewell does a good Rod Stewart (another Scot who looked to American roots music for his muse), and acoustic guitars lead standard bar band instrumentation through the faux blues-rock grooves of mid tempo raves like "78 Stone Wobble" and "Get Myself Arrested," sampled vinyl scratches and dubbed out vocals date the songs as late-'90s creations (ain't no retro here). Seamlessly combining these philosophies during their finest moments, Gomez play like Primal Scream's laid-back and understated youngersiblings--heads full of the same old American jive, but powered by booze and pot smoke rather than Ecstasy. Songstress
Personnel: Anita Baker (vocals); David T. Walker, Paul M. Jackson, Jr., James Macon, Craig Cooper (guitar); Patrick Moten (keyboards); Nathan East (bass); Raymond Calhoun, James Godson (drums); Maxine Waters, Julia Waters, Luther Waters, Oren Waters, Carmen Twillie, Phil Perry, James Gilstrap, Clydene Jackson, Bunny Hull (background vocals). Recorded at Kendun Studios, Los Angeles, California. Includes liner notes by David Nathan. Digitally remastered by John Matousek & Gerard Smerek (Soundworks West, Hollywood, California). Legions of soul and R&B fans became acquainted with Anita Baker with the release of her now-classic and award-winning debut, RAPTURE. However, it wasn't until her 1983 release, SONGSTRESS, that Baker received widespread adoration, making her one of the leading artists on the R&B music charts. (The opening track, "Angel," hit the Number 5 slot on the national R&B charts in November 1983.) On SONGSTRESS Baker's rich, deep voice is not only endearing but poignant, even seductive. Her best vocal performances are heard on songs such as "You're the Best Thing Yet" and the superlative "No More Tears." Other highlights include the hit, "Angel" and the melancholic ballad "Sometimes." SONGSTRESSis one of Baker's most compelling and romantic releases to date. SKU: 1003800

Rush Of Blood To The Head, A
Coldplay includes: Chris Martin (vocals); Guy Berryman, Jon Buckland, Will Champion, Phil Harvey. Recorded in 2001-2002. A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. "In My Place" won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. In 2000, Coldplay appeared seemingly out of nowhere and immediately advanced to the head of the Britpop class in the UK, while easily outdistancing the likes of Oasis and Blur in terms of US popularity. The most striking thing was that they did it with zero attitude and unassuming, melodic tunes humbly presented with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of memorability. That trend continues on the band's second album A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD. There's little stylistic alteration from PARACHUTES here, which is just fine, considering how enormously and instantly appealing that style is. While Travis, Elbow, andother entrants in the Britpop sweepstakes offer a not dissimilar sound, none can communicate with the honest immediacy and directness of Coldplay. Part of the key, apart from melodies so ridiculously catchy as to make Belle & Sebastian sound like Public Image Ltd., may be their working-class sense of all-for-one proletarianism (though not in the breast-beating Oasis manner). Even on "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face," when Chris Martin goes so far as to offer a few boastful phrases, the ultimate sentiment that comes across is the refrain "your guess is good as mine." Ignite The Seven Cannons
This collection contains the third and fourth Felt albums, THE STRANGE IDOLS PATTERN AND OTHER SHORT STORIES and IGNITE THE SEVEN CANNONS. Whereas their first two albums featured more meandering tracks, these albums feature songs that are more terse, though still with very elaborate arrangements. Standouts from STRANGE IDOLS include "Sunlight Bathed the Golden Glow," a cheerfully bitter character study featuring gorgeously jangling guitars, the oddly catchy "Dismantled King is Off the Throne," in which Lawrence's droll delivery is nicely offset by up tempo drumming, and "Whirlpool Vision of Shame," which features MauriceDeebank's complex guitar lines darting around the vocals. Produced by the Cocteau Twins' Robin Guthrie, IGNITE includes Felt's most well-known track, "Primitive Painters," a glittering masterpiece featuring astonishing backing vocals from the Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser along with some of Lawrence's more impassioned vocals, Gary Ainge's expressive drumming. Other standouts include the beautiful instrumental "Serpent Shade," highlighting Martin Duffy's keyboards, and "Southern State Tapestry," which returns the focus to the interplay between Deebank and Lawrence's guitars. Felt collectors should note that the reissued version of this collection, though it sequences the albums chronologically (unlike the original CD), it inexplicably omits the "Crucifix Heaven," a spectacular Spanish-guitar influenced instrumental. Greatest Hits
Crosby, Stills & Nash: Stephen Stills (vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass instrument, percussion); David Crosby (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar); Graham Nash (vocals, acoustic guitar, harpsichord, keyboards). Additional personnel include: Art Garfunkel (vocals); Jerry Garcia (pedal steel guitar). Producers: Crosby, Stills & Nash; Craig Doerge; Stanley Johnston. Recording information: 1969 - 1981. When Graham Nash casually added a high harmony to the song Stephen Stills and David Crosby were singing while sitting around at a friend's house, the beauty of the sound immediately struck all present. Consequently, one of the greatest and most enduring partnerships in popular music was formed. Not only did Crosby,Stills & Nash create some of the finest vocal-harmony arrangements of the late 1960s and early '70s, the group contained three hit folk-rock songwriters and, in Steven Stills, a world-class multi-instrumentalist. The disc opens with "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," an early tour de force that combines a percussive acoustic-guitar attack with unconventional song structure and singing that's alternately soulful and angelic. Other highlights include the fuzz-guitar-drenched "Wooden Ships" and the sunny pop of "Our House." GREATEST HITS comes as advertised, collecting many of the trio's best-known tracks from their classic albums, as well as charting singles from the 1982 comeback disc DAYLIGHT AGAIN ("Wasted on the Way," "Southern Cross"). Old Friends
Personnel includes: Paul Simon (vocals, guitar); Art Garfunkel (vocals). Producers includes: Roy Halee, Tom Wilson, Bob Johnston, Paul Simon, John Simon. Compilation producer: Bob Irwin. Recorded between 1964 and 1975. Includes liner notes by David Fricke and Bob Irwin. Digitally remastered by Vic Anesini. Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel were initially inspired by the Everly Brothers and under the name Tom And Jerry enjoyed a hit with 'Hey Schoolgirl'. The duo reunited in 1964 for Wednesday Morning 3AM,which included an acoustic reading of 'The Sound Of Silence'. Producer Tom Wilson made the presumptuous but prescient decision to overdub 'Sound Of Silence' with electric instrumentation and an album titled after the million-selling single was rush-released early in 1966. Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme had a varied mood from the grandly serious 'For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her' to the bouncy '59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)'. The duo contributed Mrs. Robinson to the soundtrack of the 1968 film, The Graduate. That same year saw the release of Bookends, a superbly-crafted work. In 1969 the duo released the celebrated Bridge Over Troubled Water. One of the best-selling albums of all time, the work's title track became a standard with its lush, orchestral arrangement and contrasting tempo. While at the peak of their commercial success, the duo became irascible and their partnership abruptly ceased. Since then there have been sporadic reunions, most notably The Concert In Central Park. Never Never Land (Revisited/Original NYC Master Version) [Digipak]
UNKLE:Richard File (vocals, acoustic guitar, synthesizer, programming); James Lavelle. Additional personnel include: Joel Cadbury (vocals, acoustic guitar); Ian Brown , Josh Homme, Robert Del Naja (vocals); Patrick Byrne (guitar, piano); Jimmy Hogarth (guitar); Antony Genn (piano, synthesizer, background vocals); Brian Eno (synthesizer, sound effects); Jarvis Cocker (synthesizer); Mani (bass guitar); Shawn Lee (drums); Richard Flack (programming); Graham Gouldman, Beccy Byrne, Melissa Jacques (background vocals). UNKLE's long-awaited 2004 follow-up to 1998's PSYENCE FICTION sees DJ Shadow M.I.A. and mainstay James Lavelle instead employing longtime party pal Richard File, who replaces Shadow's loping, doom-laden vibes with something a bit more psychedelic and free-floating. A plethora of stellar guests solidifies the new sound, including Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja (the synth-laden "Invasion"), Jarvis Cocker and Brian Eno (the 4 a.m. paranoia of "I Need Something Stronger"), and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme (the urgent "Safe in Mind [Please Take This Gun from Out My Face]"). "In a State" is a smooth, groove-heavy track, with File crooning a refrain that seems like it finally escaped from some mid-1990s dance-floor. Even some Stone Roses get thrown into the mix, with vocalist Ian Brown and bassist Mani reuniting on "Reign." The range of styles and moods here is impressive, considering that it all comes together with the epic scope of a soundtrack to some film too cool to ever be released. SKU: 6573389

Lady Soul
Personnel:Aretha Franklin (vocals, piano); Ralph Burns (conductor); Jimmy Johnson (guitar); Frank Wess (flute, tenor saxophone); Seldon Powell (tenor saxophone); Haywood Henry (baritone saxophone); Mel Lastie, Joe Newman, Bernie Glow (trumpet); Tony Studd (bass trombone); Spooner Oldham (piano, electric piano, organ); Warren Smith (vibraphone); Tommy Cogbill (bass); Roger Hawkins, Gene Chrisman (drums); Cissy Houston, Carolyn Franklin, Erma Franklin, Ellie Greenwich (background vocals). Recorded at Atlantic Recording Studios, New York between February 16 and December 20, 1967. Includes liner notes by David Nathan and original release liner notes by Jon Landau. Aretha's Franklin's position as soul music's premier female vocalist was consolidated by this album. Her strident reading of Don Covay's 'Chain Of Fools' set the tone for a collection on which the singer unveiled several stellar original compositions and reinterpreted a batch of classic songs. Franklin's gospel roots were clearly displayed on the anthem-like 'People Get Ready' while her interpretation of 'Natural Woman' showed both vulnerable and assertive qualities. Lady Soul captures a performer at the peak of her power, restating her ability to take material and make it uniquely her own. SKU: 1001415

Lost Highway
"The Perfect Drug" was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance. While famous rockers may pilfer much of the spotlight on the soundtrack to director David Lynch's LOST HIGHWAY, the album's true stars are the score composers who gave birth to the noir-ish sense of symphonic dread that emanates from its every pore. Longtime Lynch collaborator Angelo Badalamenti's pieces veer from smoky free-jazz roars to amorphous quasi-dubs. Barry Adamson contributes a series of Tom Waits-like moments that can best be described ashaunted marching-band music. And soundtrack producer Trent Reznor...well, you know his sense of the world well enough to see that he's a perfect musical fit for Lynch's darkly-psychotic-in-the-corners worldview. Within such a thematically unified context, the contributions of the famous rockers (Smashing Pumpkins, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Reznor's Nine Inch Nails, others) could have either added a voice to the darkness, or ruined the mood altogether. Thankfully, under Reznor's strong-arm guidance, the stars (particularly the drum-machine-driven Pumpkins and drum-and-bass-driven Bowie) go right for the dark side. SKU: 5064629

Stage Fright [Remastered]
The Band: Robbie Robertson, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, Levon Helm. Producers: The Band, Glyn Johns. Reissue producers: Cheryl Pawelski, Andrew Sandoval. Recorded at the Woodstock Playhouse, Woodstock, New York. Includes liner notes by Rob Bowman. Digitally remastered by Ron McMaster (Capitol Mastering) and Andrew Sandoval (May 2000, Hollywood, California). The third Band album reflected their transformation from studio ensemble to live act. Several selections, notably the title track, articulated the disquiet this engendered. The set stilloffered the quintet's mesmerizing cross-section of American music--soul, country R&B and pop--but where previous releases took a largely historical perspective, this collection brought together the past and present. Thus, the ribald, carnival atmosphere of "W.S. Walcott Medicine Show" is set against "The Rumor," in which songwriter Robbie Robertson sculpts a chilling portrait of the Nixon era. This ambitious panorama yielded a pivotal early 70s release. SKU: 1040268
